Reviewing, editing, revising…These are some of the hardest parts about writing. It seems like once you have written the project that you should be done with it and ready to submit it or publish it somewhere right then. If only that were so. Unfortunately, at that point you are ready for some serious examination of your written work.
With this post, I am continuing my basic thoughts on editing. There will be two more editing tips: Dialogue & POV and General Tips.
This post and suggestions concern giving a close examination to each and every scene. If a scene doesn’t in some manner move the story forward, get rid of it…or revise it so that it does.
