STARLA KAYE welcomes UK author Iris Deorre

I’m happy to welcome another UK author, Iris Deorre, to my blog today.  She is a writer, entrepreneur, and Indie author. Iris resides in the UK with her little girl.

How long have you been writing?

I started to write when I was seventeen. At the time it was a form of escapism. By the time I hit my twenties, I was writing short stories and got one published in a women’s magazine.

What genre do you write?

I went on to write short plays, but after meeting a well-known author who taught a writers class, my focus changed to Erotica. My love for paranormal is what makes me combine the two. My stories involve erotic romance, vampires, werewolves, fairies and even zombies at times.

Now let’s talk about your latest story, The Whitby Ghost

Title:  The Whitby Ghost (a Melissa and Roy series)

Genre: Erotica, Paranormal Romance

Length: Short Novella

Release Date: September 21, 2011

Publisher: Smashwords

Amazon Kindle Buy Link: The Whitby Ghost

BLURB

Roy has a past he’d rather forget. To overcome it he takes his girlfriend Melisa to Whitby, the very place of his past that he is trying to forget. Roy believes it’s the only way to move on and to forget it by moving on with his future, Melisa.

But something is lurking in Whitby, something that Melisa becomes sensitive to the minute they arrive. What she discovers is hard to swallow. What follows is a journey to the other side. Something she’d rather forget.

Will Melisa marry her boyfriend who refuses to talk about his past? Or will his past bring them closer?

I’m on a bit of a zombie kick these days (Walking Dead, Zombieland, World War Z) so I’ll definitely look into what you’re writing. Have a great day!
