Holly’s Big, Bad Santa’s contest

New coverI am celebrating the release of a revised and lengthened Holly’s Big, Bad Santa, from Black Velvet Seductions.

I had fun writing the original version, but I had the chance to update it and incorporate suggestions from prior readers. I fell in love with the hero even more this time, as did a reviewer at Amazon, who said: “I love Jared’s cocky ‘I was a jerk but I am going to get my girl’ attitude and Holly’s ‘the Hell you will attitude.’”

At this time of year, I love doing contests and giving things away.

I love Christmas decorations. My house is so festive. I do hate to take them down because the house looks bare. Finding the perfect gift for people on my list is a big high for me – hate to wrap them however. But I do. I also enjoy people’s friendly attitudes at this time of year.

I have always way over decorated for Christmas, with numerous collections: Santas, angels, houses, and snowmen. But I love it all. And, yes, the house looks bare when it all gets packed away again.

I love all the lights, too. We used to drive around and look at them all over town, but we do less of that these days.

I love the Christmas lights. Walking my dog early evening when people are turning on their outside lights is the best. My dog loves the lights too! He always heads down the street with the most lights.

I like watching how excited my kids get about everything during the season. They like decorating the house, telling us where to put the lights and helping with the tree. They look out the window and see all the different lights people put up. We have some really creative people on our street. Of course there’s the excitement leading to Christmas Day. My kids ooze holiday cheer.

As much as I enjoy Christmas myself, there is nothing quite like seeing it through a child’s eyes.
